I have a friend who I just gave my DS to. When I have it at my house all is good, time registers, streams fine with little buffering. When I did a speed test on his computer it maxed out at 5.99 mb/s. and the time on the DS would not correct itself. My hypothesis is that he needs to bump up his speed. I figured 5.99 is being split to the computer and the DS and this could be the problem? Am I correct on this one? I for one have 25mb/s at my house and have no problems at all on Wi-Fi or direct connect. He is using Wi-fi so my guess he is getting even less speed?

Thanks

6 mb/s is about 0.75 MB/s, its low for "consistent" streaming experience. But I don't think it takes much bandwidth to fetch time from ntp servers, might be just his wifi is dragging down the connection causing the fetch to fail, also might be his ISP has blocked access to ntp servers or a firewall setting on his router.

Never thought the a firewall or ISP server problem. I will explore that next. I did recommend that they increase speed and get a power line since the wiring in the house is 1988. I always like to avoid Wi-Fi unless there is no power line available. They are looking to stream live content so the faster and more reliable the service the better.

Thanks!

hi Folks ! hope everyone is good.

I have an issue, and wonder any support can help ? I owned an Pivos DS M3 2nd generation device, and tried to upgrade my firmware to host new app.

However, all the new firmware screwed up the Zoom as it is defaulted to only 1/4 of my TV screen ( I am still using Flat TV 4:3 not the smart TV 16:9 )

both TOFULinux firmware version 2016-03-11 and 2016-05-30 DOES NOT work, so I keep trying till the copy 2015-11-20 then it works !

Does this mean no more firmware update form now on ?

thank you for your time to read my issue
