"could just install the XBMC on it lol"

Lots of folks do. However I'm not sure the AIOS has the muscle even if we could figure out a way to install XMBC. The hardware is several generations old now. Firmware, XBMC, etc., can only do so much and at some point the hardware is the limiting factor.

One reason why I'm holding out for a quad core PIVOS product. I want to attempt to keep away from that hardware ceiling for as long as I can on my next media server purchase.

XBMC requires a target device to have a 3D capable GPU to be able to render the menus (this makes all relatek and most sigma based boxes incompatible by design).

I have had a couple of strange events recently using this version of the firmware. I ma not sure if it has to do with the firmware version or Transmission, but I will setup transmission to download a files ( approx 2+ Gigs) and everything will be fine as it starts to download.

Then when I go to check it later the AIOS has stopped responding and if I look at the units front display I see a blank screen but the blue power light is still on.

If I reboot the unit everything is fine again. I am seeing no other issues with watching content or downloading smaller torments.

Any thoughts

no. After the reboot the torrent is completely gone. I have checked the resume and download folders.

EDIT:

Last night I tired a smaller torrent file. The problem was basically the same as the last time I had problems. The AIOS screen and connection remained ok but there was no folder created in either the resume folder or the download folder of Transmission.

Question: When the AIOS is powered completely off, via the power switch on the back, does it still retain the transmission settings done through the upgrade commands and from the setup menu?

I am thinking that I will need to re-install the software like I had to do when this happened before.

oh I see, whats in p. 83 is rather the quote of my "old" post by another user.
The actual post is in p. 81 and thats what the link in the OP of the thread should send you (this is already edited with the proper link).
Good to know you got it sorted out.
Enjoy your AIOS :)

I tried to upgrade from R23 to R23.1 using the link in page 81 and 1. It still shows ERR: DOWNLOAD FILE. I can download .zip file but don't know how to do with it. Please help. Thanks.
