Answered: Does Component and HDMI output simultaniously?

Postby Diamond Dog » January 2nd, 2017, 9:22 am

First of all, I sure miss this forum. My AIOS is still going strong.

I want to run my AIOS to two TV's (one in living room, one in kitchen. I tried a 2 way splitter and it does video just fine but I had problems on audio as it would only do a PCM signal (which was OK for kitchen but not for living room)

Anyway, they make component to HDMI adapters and wanted to try.

When the AIOS plays, does it output both HDMI and component? Or does it do one at a time? Or do you have to select which one it is outputting from?

I remember composite will always work regardless.
I "think" component too (since there is no switch to select between HDMI/Component), but box might kill Component when HDMI is initiated.

Happy New Year !

To answer this question, I have verified that Component and HDMI output all at the same time. So does Toslink.

Long live the AIOS! I still can't find anything better
