well I am having all kinds of fun with the update... I pop into play/file and notice the icons look like crap... almost impossible to see what is being selected... I quickly realize the resolution is very low... I go into setup and for the life of me cannot switch to 720 of 1080... I am hooked up via the component cables... can I only use HDMI now??? kinda pointless to have the connections on the back if I cannot use them, and this means rewiring something that is currently using my HDMI port....

so I switch to HDMI and am having the same issues... and the "Warning!!!" that comes up (which basically makes no sense (very bad English), really gives me no idea what to do????) it tells me what to do if i see nothing in the screen???? would I not be able to NOT read the message if I could see nothing??? although I am about to see my remote "IN" my screen.... anyway.... whether on not I see anything or hit the OK or NOT... it just comes up to a grey empty box and if I hit anything it goes back to NTSC.... the movies seem to play in HD, but the GUI still looks low res???? ... I would gladly reword the warning for you if I knew what it is suppose to say or do...

Not sure if they are known issues

1. Browse files through NFS. Always freeze the first time, have to switch the box off and on. Browse the second time will work. (I have two My Book Live on the network)

2. A few anime get blocky and wrong color sometimes. Here's some info about the files:

Just downloaded the file from binsearch.
It played super fine, I skipped through it, if there was a specific segment let me know, else I would recommend testing with a different HDMI cable.

Sorry Aarosos, I just picked one of them assuming all of them have problems

Try this one:

http://binsearch.info/viewNFO.php?oid=81749159&server=

Another bug I encountered is that I can't change subtitle's size till the first subtitle showed up.

Using Media Player Classic 6.4.9.1 to play the file has the same artifacts. Media Player Classic HC 1.6.0.4014 can play the file without any of them.

oh I c, that one is 10 bits video encoded, support for 10 bits files are not 100% (mainly due to resource consumption) thats why you see "minor" banding and pixelization.

Try going through Setup -> Video and disable 10/12 bit support.

Here is some info on the 10 bits encoding.

I've tried this fw but I didn't like it. Videos taken by my canon s95 did not play smoothly but okay on 3.0.1.7.
